WHY PARTICIPATE IN THIS MASTERCLASS?

It is an opportunity to participate in the Masterclass because you will:

  • Meet Mary Kalantzis and Bill Cope, experts in New Learning theory and Digital Affordances, as well Olnancy Tzirides their close colleague.
  • Frame and reframe, among equivalents, all the knowledge you acquired last year, due to the COVID -19 pandemic.
  • Dedicate a short dense period of time (20 days and 55 hours) to study the content of a longer programme, gaining the highest learning outcomes.
  • Gain accumulated experience from the experts in the management of the digital environment.

  • Receive a Certificate of Training with a Supplement of Europass Certificate and 2.2 ECVET from NKUA
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE MASTERCLASS?

The purpose of the Masterclass is to:

– Explore the “seven principles” of e-learning ecology, which open up real possibilities for what we call “New Learning” – transformational learning of the 21st century.

– Prepare, with the theory and practice of the Masterclass, to succeed in your professional and personal environment in a world increasingly dominated by digital information flows and digital communication tools.

The Masterclass will be attended through:

– Asynchronous learning in the E-class and the Scholar platform (www.cgscholar.com)

– E-learning synchronous meetings with Mary Kalantzis, Bill Cope and Olnancy Tzirides.

* The Masterclass will be held for two groups simultaneously (English speaking and Greek speaking). For the English speaking/ International group excellent knowledge of English is required. For the Greek speaking, excellent knowledge of Greek is required as well as basic knowledge of English.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO APPLY?

The basic requirements for participating in the Masterclass are:

– Basic computer skills, internet access, personal e-mail

– Knowledge of English (Proficient – Level C2)

– Availability of a laptop during program activities

– Pay the tuition fees via PayPal

WHAT IS THE COST AND WHAT DISCOUNTS?

The initial cost of the program is 260€.

Special discounts are offered *:

20% (208€) if the sum is paid in one deposit

30%(182 €) to people who:

  • work in universities or colleges as faculty members or/and Instructors in Higher Education in any country.
  • work in formal and non-formal education:  Education Directors, School Heads, Principals of school units, School Life Counsellors, Teachers, Psychologists, Social Workers, Instructors / teachers / Adult educators,
  • work in non-formal education structures and people with special needs,
  • are university or college students,

Dr Mary Kalantzis is a professor in the Department of Education Policy, Organization and Leadership at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA.

Dr Bill Cope is a Professor in the Department of Education Policy, Organization & Leadership, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA and an Adjunct Professor at Charles Darwin University, Australia.

PhD student in the Learning Design and Leadership Program at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), where  she works with Professors Mary Kalantzis and Bill Cope.

Eugenia Arvanitis is an Assistant Professor of Interculturality & Diversity in Education at the Department of Educational Sciences and Early Childhood Education, University of Patras.
